An outdoor kitchen built inside the old Grand Tour marquee, doing whole-carcass butchery and cooking over fire. No booking, ever. Turn up, queue a bit, eat well.

Like everything else on this site it is British-sourced without exception, and unlike the restaurant it takes no bookings at all — you turn up, you queue for a bit, you eat.

Wondering

What people actually ask.

The two questions this page gets most, answered without a support ticket.

The garden bars are walk-in and always have been. The restaurant is not, and pretending otherwise only creates a queue of disappointed people.

Both, gladly, in the bars and the garden. The restaurant takes children until eight; the dogs have no such curfew.

Snooping, briefly.

We use a small number of cookies to keep your basket upright and to work out which pages people actually read. We do not sell anything about you to anyone, because that would be a rotten way to behave.
