The bit most schemes leave out.
If you foster a hive or a ewe, the question of what happens at the end is straightforward. If you foster a pig, it is not.
This is a working livestock farm. We are not going to write around that, and we are not going to let somebody discover it later. The pig page says so plainly, near the top, and offers you the hive instead if you would rather.
That costs us sales. It is still the right way to do it.

Fostering, questioned.
Three questions, and the first one is always about ownership.
No. Fostering confers no ownership interest, no right to take the animal away, and no cash return of any kind. You are buying updates, access and a named animal for a season.
On the annual open day, accompanied. Livestock and unaccompanied visitors are a bad combination and our insurer agrees.
Almost anything. We reserve a veto and have used it twice, both times correctly.
