The family venture

Only Farmers.

A marketplace for farm days out, farm stays and farmer-to-farmer trade, founded by Lisa Bentinck and her son Wolfe Bentinck. It launched in May 2026 and had over 1,300 farms on it within roughly two months. It is their company, not this estate’s, and we think it is the most interesting thing anybody in this family has built.

Where it came from

The idea came from five years of conversations at a till.

"Every week I’d meet farmers creating incredible experiences on their farms, from vineyard tours and lambing days to farm stays and workshops, yet hardly anyone knew they existed. The demand is there. The farms are there. The connection wasn’t. That’s why we built Only Farmers." — Lisa Bentinck.

And on the positioning: "This is for smaller farmers who do not have a marketing budget or Amazon to catapult what they have on their farm. It’s a one stop shop."

That is the whole insight, and it came from standing behind a farm shop counter for five years talking to the people who supply it. There is no market research that produces that. There is only paying attention.

How it was built

Nobody on the team writes code by hand.

Wolfe Bentinck, publicly, while advertising three paid remote internships: "One thing we’ve learnt building this company is that we no longer hire for technical ability. We hire for judgment, curiosity and people who get things done. Nobody on our team writes code by hand. We build by directing AI agents. One of the team joined two weeks ago with no coding background. By the end of his first week he’d shipped work that was live for real users."

A two-sided marketplace with payments, payouts, messaging, mapping, natural-language search, a community layer, a B2B trading marketplace and native iOS and Android apps — in roughly three months from incorporation, at a headcount of one to ten.

The estate list

Follow what they build next.

This venture went from incorporation to 1,300 farms in about three months. Whatever comes next will probably arrive faster than anybody writing about it can keep up.

  • New categories and features as they launch
  • The estate’s own listings, when they exist
  • Nothing else
