What it actually is.

A gin from a brewery, which ought not to work and does. Seventy centilitres of something considerably more considered than the label suggests.

Brewed at College Farm, Bourton-on-the-Water, by The Cotswold Brewing Company. The barley for the lagers is grown on Diddly Squat; the apples for the cider are British and freshly pressed, never from concentrate.

  • ABV: 40%
  • Size: 70cl

Age-restricted

Please enjoy Hawkstone responsibly. Everything with alcohol in it is age-restricted: we will card you at checkout and the driver will card you again at the door.

Wondering

What people actually ask.

The two questions this page gets most, answered without a support ticket.

Yes. At checkout, and again at the door. The driver has no discretion about it and neither do we.

Because lagering properly takes weeks in a tank that could be turning over a faster beer, and because the barley is bought at a price that leaves the grower something.
