We are going to be straight with you
This is a working livestock farm. A pig fostered here is a pig being raised for meat, and at the end of the season you will be offered the choice of taking the produce or not. We say this at the top of the page rather than in a footnote because finding out later would be considerably worse. If you would rather not, foster a hive — it is cheaper, and nothing dies.
What fostering includes.

You get updates and photographs through the season, access to the relevant field camera, and the right to name the animal within reason. What you do not get is any ownership interest, any right to take the animal away, or any cash return of any kind.
