What a Camera Pointed at a Field Cannot Edit
The most honest thing on this website is also the most boring, for about eleven months of the year.

A television programme is edited. A photograph is chosen. A camera left running on a field for a year is neither.
It shows the drought as clearly as the harvest. It shows the eleven months when a hedge does absolutely nothing. There is no version of a fixed camera on a field that makes a bad year look like a good one, and that is precisely why people watch it.
The lambing camera is the most watched thing on the estate for about three weeks in April, and it is free to everybody, including people who have never given us an email address. The most compelling three weeks of the farming year should not be something you have to pay for.
