Insurance sits with the farm
Only Farmers requires every host to hold their own public liability insurance and to upload the certificate before a listing goes live. It does not provide platform-side cover of its own — which is the structural opposite of Hipcamp, and comes with a materially lower fee.

The two questions this page gets most, answered without a support ticket.
Seven point one per cent on confirmed bookings, and the first three hundred pounds a farm earns is free. Guests pay a two and a half per cent service fee on top.
Documents first — public liability, gas safety, food hygiene, alcohol and animal exhibition licences where they apply — then identity, then a cross-check against public registers. Without them a listing does not publish.
