What it actually does.
Shop-run rotas
Members going to the shop post the day before and take orders for anybody who cannot face the queue.
A seed swap, twice a year
March and September. Last one shifted about six hundred packets of saved seed.
Machinery lending
Nineteen members have put a machine on the shared list. A rotavator has been out eleven times.
Walks
A monthly one, four to six miles, always ending somewhere with a bar.

I read the minutes, I have used the lending list twice and I have never been to a meet. Nobody has ever made me feel odd about that.
