Wondering

Everything anybody has actually asked about the account.

Collected from the inbox, the parish threads and the shop counter, in roughly the order people ask them, with the awkward ones left in.

The obvious ones

The first five, always.

No. Loitering is free and gets you the dashboard, the wallet, the badges, the board and your parish. The paid tiers change the discount and the access windows, not what you can see about yourself.

One penny. One hundred bushels is one pound off, on everything, all the time, and there is not a second rate hidden anywhere.

Because a national table with forty thousand names tells thirty-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety people that they are losing at buying jam. The full argument is on Lording It.

Four a week at most, three of twelve events on by default, and nothing between nine at night and eight in the morning except the combine.

Nothing on this build takes payment anywhere. Every balance, holding and total is illustrative.

Data

The account and the data.

Yes, as a file, usually within an hour. The law allows a month and a company that uses the whole month is telling you something.

No. Not to brokers, not to partners, not aggregated, not anonymised.

It has happened twice, both times in a household sharing an email address. Your Data lists every till account we have joined to yours with a button to separate them.

No. A patch is a purchase with a contract attached. Cancel or transfer the holding first, or tell us and we will.

HMRC. It is not our choice, we cannot waive it, and the person is stripped out of it when you close the account.

Hoarding

The wallet.

Because that is what it is, and calling it generous would be silly. It is two per cent on a paid tier, which is roughly what a supermarket manages on a much larger basket.

After twenty-four months of the account doing nothing at all. One purchase, one check-in or one sign-in resets the clock and we email twice before it happens.

No. A transferable balance with a published rate is a currency, and issuing one involves a great deal more regulation than a farm shop wants.

It keeps trading, it lets you redeem up to five hundred bushels on the last balance it saw, and if that turns out to overdraw you we wear it.

The rest

The badges, the board and the nagging.

Nothing. No discount, no access, no priority. The moment a badge unlocks a discount it stops being a badge and becomes a price.

No. Spend is capped at three hundred points a season out of a realistic maximum of about two and a half thousand.

Because the decision is made at half past five in the morning and the machine is in the field by seven. It has its own switch and about a third of people turn it off.

Yes. Everything still lands on the dashboard; we just stop interrupting you about it.

The honest bit

The honest summary of this whole family: it is a dashboard on top of five systems that were never designed to be joined, a loyalty scheme worth one per cent, sixteen badges that unlock nothing and a leaderboard we deliberately made smaller than it could be. None of it is clever. All of it is missing from the real estate, which is the only reason it is here.

Back to the dashboard.

Six holdings, one wallet, a year and a board.

Snooping, briefly.

We use a small number of cookies to keep your basket upright and to work out which pages people actually read. We do not sell anything about you to anyone, because that would be a rotten way to behave.
