Why nothing is ever taken down.
Media archives get rotated for two reasons: storage costs money, and old material makes rights renewals complicated. Neither applies here. This is audio and video the estate made about itself, and the storage bill for eight podcast episodes is not a line anybody has ever queried.
What is left is a discipline rather than a cost. A stable address, forever, means an episode can be cited, linked and argued with in three years’ time. A rotating archive means every link to it dies and the argument disappears with it.
The same rule applies to the chapter ledger, for the same reason. A record that gets edited after the fact is not a record.
